Patently is a revolutionary system bringing together design, data and AI for the world’s top companies. Our role in Patently is to design and build an intuitive, visual system to find, analyse, draft and litigate against patents.

We have been working closely with the internal data team for years to produce the front-end and intermediate layer of this platform which comprises multiple products for the life of a patent.

We designed the brand identity to be bold, striking and convey simplicity and clarity in a notoriously complex world of patent data and legal workflows.

This includes a geometric logo and straightforward wordmark, contrasting colour palette, approachable tone of voice paired with clear typography and simple but communicative illustrations and animations.

The data and product are hugely complex, but we have used design and UX to help users navigate this data to better understand and act on it.

From patent owners browsing huge lists of patents to understanding the landscape of patent owners, simple approachable design is throughout.

We aren’t just using AI to create websites, we are actively developing the systems that others can use.

Patently Studio is a patented revolutionary system that allows uses to dynamically share files with AI and view multiple files and chat output at the same time. This is quartering the time it is taking attorneys to file, prosecute and oppose patents.
